Hobble Creek half marathon

The half marathon on August 20th came quickly, and this guy ran like a champ! With all the traveling we had been doing plus the chaos at work plus the absense of his regular running partner (meeee), the guy hadn't really trained for this. We woke up at five and promptly drove to Mapleton to catch the bus!
Looks good in the morning!

All ready to go!

Saying goodbye....because of course I went back home to catch more zzzz's.

I caught him crossing the finish line! He did SUCH A GOOD JOB! He actually finished in an hour and 55 minutes...averaging a 9:10 minute mile.

Not bad for someone who truly didn't train! That's my athlete husband!

...and with a smile on his face as if he went for a stroll around the park or something. We found out this morning that he got 14th in his "Clydesdale" division (200+ lbs.). We both think there should be a 240+ division--he would have gotten 1st, duh.

I can't wait to join you next year honey!

  1. Yay! I just got caught up on all of your happenings! Your trip to Brazil looked awesome. I'm glad that you were able to get the bread bowl in San Fran too. I had to get one when we went last summer! I can't wait to see your new house!
