Disney World, October 2013

Mark's family was sweet enough to take us to Florida for a week full of magic at Disney World. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge; there were giraffes and all sorts of other African animals just outside our windows! It was pretty amazing. We really missed Mark's brother Erik and his wife and kids. They really missed out!

It was SO HOT. CALIENTE. Oh, what I would do for some of that heat right now.

Mark took me out one night and we sat on the first row of a Cirque du Soleil show and went to a Cuban restaurant. That's a good man right thurr.

On the last night there, Shelly and Dave got us all tickets to go to "Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party" and let me tell you....that was more fun than a Barrel of Monkeys. I would argue that it was more fun than one of the funnest days of your lives that you can think of right now. EVERYONE was dressed up, and there were probably a few thousand people in the park. There were just barrels and buckets of candy that Disney employees were passing out by the hand full, and there were random character dance parties all over the park. I especially had fun boogying with Mike Wazowski in my banana costume. I about peed my pants. Mark joined me in his banana costume and throughout the park we'd hear an occasional "GO BANANAS!"--which was followed by Mark and I doing a little wiggle-wiggle for our fans. Noah was our little pirate but was absolutely pooped by the time the party actually started so the party was pretty much for us. He fell asleep pretty early on in the fiesta. We were just glad to have grandparents and uncles watch him while we had fun on rides wearing our banana costumes.

We can't wait to go back again.

  1. Those are some good grandparents! Love the banana costumes and the sleepy pirate. What I wouldn't give for some of that hot Disney World weather and entertainment right now! Roller coasters would put me into labor, right?
